Here is Carriero. An... asylum is what it calls itself, essentially the staff kidnaps members of disparate universes and detains them there until they deem them cured from whatever mental problems they may have. But their definition of problem is so broad that almost anyone can appear. And it takes almost forever to get freed. And it's virtually impossible to figure out what actions will get you closer to being freed. [It did happen once based on a perfectly timed drop that did actually result from the radical degree of character development!!! And this is the hope to which characters have clinged for... well, in this verse for two years.] I've been here for almost two years. -- A sweep. [Snarky chuckle.] It always feels good to be privileged to say words like those again. I've been speaking the stupid Earth dialect around all the humans for so long that it's my default when not speaking to specific people anymore. Ugh.
