That would be exactly as cruel as saying humans shouldn't have offspring. Though given their attitudes towards our romantic mores, it wouldn't surprise me if humans didn't want us to procreate either. Besides, it would take sweeps for the mother grub to reach maturity, so by then they couldn't object to our age like they always do now.
